Phil and Lauren enjoying charter fishing in Louisiana Marshes

Phil and Lauren’s Funday in the Marsh.

Phil and Lauren were in town and wanted to spend a day on the water. We ran across Lake Borgne, leaving the New Orleans marsh, and made a brief u-turn after a tripletail was spotted, but missed. We spent the day moving around trying to find the hot bite, but the fish were scattered. They did boat many undersized redfish, and ended the day with 5 redfish that were over 16″. A couple of hours were spent working a school of speckled trout, but like the reds on this day, a lot of small fish. Given the tough conditions, Phil and Lauren were great and I look forward to fishing with these avid anglers again.
