abouT your captain

Captain Drake Morvant Jr. grew up hunting, fur trapping, and fishing on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. Fishing trips with his father and time spent at his family’s camp in Slidell fostered his interest in being on the water. After serving as an infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division in the invasion of Iraq, he returned to Louisiana. Upon returning, It wasn’t long until several days a week were spent in Lake Catherine, and areas beyond, sight fishing redfish and locating schools of hungry speckled trout. In addition to his knowledge of the water, Captain Drake spent over 10 years selling customer service before becoming a full time fishing guide. He understands the quality experience a customer expects and deserves.
