Good Fishing and VBC’s COVID-19 Response

The summer bite has kicked off as the shrimp and mullet move back in. With numerous dates left open as a result of the Pandemic, I’ve been enjoying many “scout” days with friends and family. The Redfish are plentiful and eating well. Some days they’re all 16″ – 17″, and some days you can’t find one under 27″. Trout are still in the local area, but the non-stop 20mph wind has made it hard to target them.

In response to the COVID-19 situation, the boat, as well as gear are all wiped down extensively after use now.

In addition to the detailed cleaning procedure, I will not be meeting customers at the marina during peak times for recreational boaters. With a large portion of the population off work, the marinas have been extremely busy (which is great for them!). In order to minimize exposure to the crowds, the boat has relocated down the road to the Spots and Dots Lodge.

Your health and safety is my number one priority.

If you have any questions or concerns about booking a trip, please do not hesitate to contact me.
