New Orleans Family Fishing Charter

June & July Fishing Report 2023

This summer has offered a lot of big fish for our customers. Legal sized redfish are hard to come by, but the big bulls are plentiful and fun to catch! Plenty of big black drum as well in the area and these are just as fun to fight. We’ve been targeting white trout and speckled trout early then around 8 am moving around to different reefs to catch the big stuff. Usually, a little after 10 AM it is HOT and the bite for the day is just about done as the water temperature skyrockets. Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Borgne are the top producing bodies of water at the moment. The white shrimp should be migrating into the area soon, and with them should be more speckled trout and sheepshead for us to catch. If you are in the Metairie, Kenner, New Orleans, or Northshore area and want to take a charter trip, give us a call today!
