Late Winter Fishing in SE Louisiana

Late Winter Report

We’ve been sneaking out when the weather allows and catching a few fish. Striped bass, catfish, and redfish are making up the bulk of the catch at the moment. With the Pearl River being at flood stage there is a lot of dirty water in the area. After Mardi Gras we should start seeing more easterly winds, and with that the juvenile redfish will begin migrating into the area. As water temperatures will slowly rise and speckled trout fishing will turn on. I think we’ll see a good spring run at the bridges in Lake Pontchartrain this year. Spring dates are almost full so if you are looking to book contact us today! We are looking forward to warmer weather and better fishing after Mardi Gras, can’t wait to see you guys.
