February & March Fishing Report

The weather has kept us on land more than usual this year. During the few days that we ventured out, we were working hard for each fish. Water temps are still in the upper 50s, but as the daily highs continue to climb things will improve quickly. I think we’ll see easier catching sometime in the first two weeks of April. At the moment we’re catching speckled trout at the oil rigs in Lake Borgne and at the Trestles in Lake Pontchartrain along with a few sheepsheads. Redfish are still lethargic and in winter mode. When the water temperatures approach 70 degrees sometime in the next two weeks, it will be game on for everything. If you are thinking about booking us for your fishing excursions, contact us today.
