June Fishing Report

We started off the month of June with mixed catches of speckled trout, bay snapper and limits of redfish. Toward the end of the month, we were having to fish hard and fast each morning to beat the incoming storms. Most days still offered limits of redfish before 10 am. Shrimp underneath a popping cork, gold spoons, and gold spinning baits have all been productive for redfish. The weather forecast for early July indicates we’ll finally get back to the routine of clear skies until late afternoon, then the normal pop-up storms. When that happens, we’ll get the opportunity to do some trout fishing and enjoy some great redfish trips.
